Mr. Jack Perera

Born and grew up in Srilanka, formerly called Ceylon.  It is a tropical 
island about 12 miles south of the subcontinent of India.  Attended college 
in India and Pakistan.  Bachelors degree in Mathematics and Secondary 
Education, minor in Physics.  Completed college career with a major in 
Elementary Education.

Began teaching in Pakistan.  Returned to Srilanka and continued teaching.  
Came to the USA to attend graduate school.  Master of Arts in Education with 
a concentration in Counseling, Guidance, and Student Development.

Worked with the Federal National Mortgage Association in Washington, DC for 6 
years before returning to teaching, after graduate school.  Taught Junior 
Academy in Ohio, Michigan and Illinois.  Final assignment was with the Job 
Corps Center in Flint, Michigan before coming to work at Howard High School 
in 2001.

Have traveled around the world several times, visited Europe, the Far East, 
the Middle East, and over 30 states in the Union.
