Pds. 1,3,6: Brave New World - Related Topics Research
All students have picked a topic related to the book "Brave New World". Each
student has a different topic. Students are to write a short report, minimum
of 2 1/2 pages, double-spaced. 12-14 pt. font. Reports must include
interesting detail and facts related to their topic, so students will have to
focus on certain aspects only. Students must also cite 3 references used for
their report.
In addition to the report, students need to give a short, 2-3 minute
presentation using some sort of visual - a power point, a poster, or handouts.
RUBRIC:
Minimum 2 pages, double-spaced 20 points

Well-organized paragraphs 10 points

Pds. 2,5: Animal Farm Project
Student will pick between 2 options: they've received handouts.
1. Compare characters and events to the Russian revolution - explain the
correspondence.
2. Pick two real-world examples of positive leaders and two examples of
negative leaders, and compare their characteristics to those of Snowball
vs. Napoleon.
Students have 2 project options:
a. write a 4-page paper, double-spaced. Cite three references.
b. Write a 2 1/2 page paper, double-spaced, adn give a brief presentation.
Cite 3 references.
