Ms. Hamilton has taught English grades 9-12 in New Mexico. She has worked as a
reading specialist in Baltimore County at the elementary level. She also
taught special education at the middle school level.
Ms. Hamilton is certified in English, grades 7-12, ESOL K-12, Reading K-12,
and special education K-12. She holds advanced professional certification in
all of these areas. In addition, she holds two masters degrees in education.
Students will gain skills and understanding of concepts in critical reading,
literary elements, styles of writing and the writing process, and in grammar
and language. In addition, they will develop critical thinking skills and use
these skills in questioning, forming opinions and developing logical
argument, and in expression of ideas.
