Mr. Lawrence is the Director of Choral Activities at Howard High School
and St. John Lutheran Church in Columbia, Md. He holds degrees in
performance, conducting, and administration and supervision from U.M.B.C. and
Johns Hopkins University.
Mr. Lawrence's performing groups have distinguished themselves by
consistently receiving superior ratings and championship awards in local and
national competitions during his tenure at Howard. In 1995, he was voted the
"Outstanding Educator of the Year" by the Howard County Chamber of Commerce.
In addition to his work at Howard High School, Mr. Lawrence is active as
an adjudicator and guest conductor throughout Maryland and Virginia.
