Courses: Physics and Physics GT

Grades: 10-12

Prerequisite: Physics - Algebra II; Physics GT - B or better in previous science, at least concurrent enrollment in Pre-calculus.

The course: This course develops student understanding of forces, motion, and gravity; energy and momentum; electricity and magnetism; and waves. Students will perform laboratory investigations (GT may design and perform laboratory investigations) to develop an understanding of the characteristics and quantitative relationships associated with energy and matter. This course emphasizes experimental design, problem solving, using technology to collect and analyze data, and advanced mathematical skills.
