“La Real Academia Española” is the institution responsible for regulating the Spanish language world-wide. It’s affiliated with national language academies in 21 Spanish-speaking nations.
This section of my website, “Orejitas del Saber”, is dedicated to the diversity within the Spanish language. My 8th grade honors Students are doing research concerning the popular spoken language of the 21 Spanish’ speaking countries. They are also updating this page every Monday, with examples of how these countries use different Spanish words for the same objects.
Through this activity, my goal is for the students to understand the diverse traditions and cultures among the Spanish-speaking countries of the Caribbean, Central America, Europe and South America.
