8th GRADE HONORS LITERATURE FINAL EXAM STUDY GUIDE
There will be an independent reading selection, followed by 15 mostly multiple-choice questions. There will also be matching, define and explain, identification, and short answer questions. Be familiar with the main characters and the main events from each selection.
There will be one short essay and a longer essay concerning a choice of the two plays, The Diary of Anne Frank and “Twelve Angry Men” or the two novels, Say Goodnight, Gracie and Flowers for Algernon.
Although literary terms and techniques will be included, vocabulary words will not. A character sketch will not be included.
The exam may include the following selections of short stories and poems:
