My Story

     
I began teaching at ICS many years ago, and I have recently had the pleasure 
of teaching a few children of former students.

Over the years there have been countless changes in textbooks, methods of 
teaching, and the facility itself; however, some things remain much the 
same.  I have found middle schoolers to be energetic and sometimes frantic, 
somewhat fragile, and genuinely eager to learn and share what they know.

I truly enjoy teaching middle schoolers.  Their creative energy, enthusiasm, 
and questioning minds make them both a challenge and a joy.  They have 
taught me a great deal in return.

Two of my grandchildren, who enjoy the ocean as much as I do, are pictured 
above.

My hope is that students will gain a lifelong love of learning, will help 
others and be willing to share what they understand, and will appreciate the 
differences that make each of us unique.
