First Grade Swims
Grade one will follow the Red Cross Learn to Swim Program at the appropriate
level and also complete the safety program of Longfellow's Whales Tales.
Each class will go to the pool three times and spend three sessions at
school working on reinforcement activities for Whales Tales.
Grade Two and Three will follow the Red Cross Learn to Swim Program at the
appropriate level.
Grade Four will follow the Anne Arundel County Drownproofing Program which
teaches safety in and around water.
Grade Five will follow the Red Cross Learn To Swim Program at the
appropriate level and also learn some basic Total Immersion techniques.
These techniques will be especially helpful for any children who might
participate in childrens' triathalons.
