Students will experience and learn about a wide variety of methods for creating and producing artwork both utilitarian and purely visual.   Stressing the elements and principles of design, students will learn to use increasingly complex concepts for each unit, allowing them to build on prior skills and knowledge.  More sophisticated materials are used as the students learn the techniques necessary for each unit.  Art history, multicultural and interdisciplinary connections are made whenever possible.
