The Jefferson News

Wednesday, July 16th

Dear Parents:

Some reminders and new information from summer camp for this week...

* Tomorrow (Thursday) is water day for all campers. Campers should come to camp already in their swim suits and should bring a towel,
watershoes if needed, and a change of clothes. As always, please be sure that you have put sunscreen and bugspray on your child.

* Friday is pajama day!! Please send your camper to camp in their pajamas --they should also bring in a stuffed animal, slippers, sleeping bag
or whatever other "pajama" related gear they would like! As a special treat (shhh it's a surprise) we will be having a pizza lunch, so there is no
need to pack a lunch for Friday, unless your child does not eat pizza!!

Thank you!

Ms. Gwen, Ms. Laine and Ms. Ana Paula

Dear Parents:

Happy Summer! Some of us are still here having fun during our 11th month of school – we have 5
classrooms open and the expanded
Montessori classrooms have gotten off to a fabulous start!

As you may know, parts of Montgomery County are under water restrictions due to a water main break.
Please note that we are remaining open
as we have water for hand washing and to flush the toilets. While we have bottled water for the
children to drink, it would be helpful if you
would send your child to school tomorrow with a water bottle labeled with his or her name on it.
We will keep you informed if there are any changes.

Carpool Notes:
Morning carpool for the expanded year is very small. If you bring your child between 9 and 9:15
please pull up to the curb by the front door
and a staff person will come out and get your child. If you come after 9:15, please park your car
in a parking space and walk your child in.

Due to the very small number of 12:15 carpoolers this month, no one will be outside collecting
cards. Please pull alongside the curb and a staff
person will bring your child to your car.

Also, please note that if you are not part of our expanded school year and would prefer not to
receive e-mail communications from us for the
remainder of the summer, please e-mail us at admin@thejeffersonschool.com and we will remove you
from the list. If you request to be
removed you will not hear from us until our list is updated for the new school year at the end of
the summer.

Thank you!!

Dear Parents:

Wow! It is hard to believe that it is almost the end of our 10-month program! Thursday, June 12 is
a ˝ day for all students and if your child is
enrolled as a 10-month student, this is also the last of school for them. Children who are enrolled
as 11-month students will have no school
on Friday, June 13th as it is a professional day for our faculty. School will re-open on Monday,
June 16th for 11-month students. We will
continue to do car-pool as usual during the 11-month of school.

If your child is a 10-month student and you do not wish to receive e-mail from the school over the
summer, please send an e-mail to
admin@thejeffersonschool.com requesting to be removed. If you do not request to be removed, you
will receive information from us until the
distribution list is updated in August for the new school year.

We will continue to conduct school tours by appointment during the summer – so be sure to keep
referring your friends and neighbors!! Our
office will remain open, with regular hours until August 1st, and from 9:00am -3:00pm through the
remainder of the summer.

Have a wonderful and safe summer!!!!
