Some reminders for this week!
The JPTA will have their monthly meeting tomorrow at 7pm. This meeting will be followed by a JPTA sponsored presentation on financial planning for college (please note that an incorrect date was listed for this presentation on the note that went home). Childcare will be provided - the children can come in their pajamas and will enjoy pizza and a video (Frosty the Snowman) for those children who are preregistered - please be sure to RSVP to the office.
December 16th our Kindergarten Club will present an assembly for our younger students about Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and Christmas at 10:30 in Jefferson Hall!

If you would like to join the ultimate play-date on Wednesday, November 25 please turn in your application by Friday, November 20. Additional applications are available in the school office.
The Jefferson Montessori School will be closed for Thanksgiving Break November 25, 26, and 27. We wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!

Next week is a busy week!
Please remember to bring in all items for our community service drive "Sandwiches & Smiles" on Monday, November 9. We will be packing 100 lunches for Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless.
Volunteers can sign up (by the classroom doors) to help pack lunches the morning of November 10.
November 11 our Parent Open House is from 10:00 to 11:00. Please joins us!
In-house field trip: November 12 Thomas Eagle Bear visits to share music, stories, and Native American Culture.

Parents:
We have had several reports of children with high fevers as well as 3 confirmed cases of strep throat. Please continue to be diligent about monitoring your child's health and be sure to let us know of any illness. At school we are also being diligent about following proper hand washing procedures and cleaning of the rooms.

Fall Festival is Friday! Get ready for a day of full of fall fun.
Friday, October 30 is the last day purchase school pictures and spirit wear. Please stop in the office by Friday evening if you would like to purchase either.
November 2 there is no school for students. If you would like to attend "The Ultimate Play-Date" with Ms. Gwen please stop in the office to sign up by Thursday, October 29.
Items for ourccommunity service project to pack lunches for the homeless are due November 9. Please sign up outside your child's classroom. We will make sandwiches and the pack lunches on November 10.
Open House for parents is November 11 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Please join us to talk with administration, meet other parents, and visit in your child's classroom. Reservations are required. Call the office 301.840.8448 or e-mail us admin@thejeffersonschool.com.
