10/15-A AND 10/19-B
READ SEC 4-1 AND DO THE R&R IN THE NEW PKG

10/13-A and 10/14-B
Study for quest on Forces
*Review your warm ups set B, finish your "foldables" and use them to
        test your vocab
vocab list for section 1,2,and 3 is on pg 73
*DO pg 774 & 75 problems 1-4,6-8,11,12,15,17,20,25
*Memorize Newtons Laws (use foldables) and be able to apply them
*Know measurements and units

10/9-A and 10/12-B
Memorize newton's laws. Do the "enrich" on the back of section 2-3 R&R in HW pkg
Remember next test is on Chpt 2 (forces) 10/15 for A day and 10?19 for B day
GT should also be collecting data and revising their Lit reviews.

10/7-A and 10/8-B read pages 64-66. Copy Newton's 3rd law and give 2 examples
of how it applies in real life. Use figure 17 and one example from your life.

10/5-A and 10/6-B
read sec 2-3 and do the R&R in pkg
Next test 10/15-A and 10/19-B on chpt 2

10/1-A and 10/2-B
read section 2-2 and do the R&R in pkg
work on updated lit review

9/28-A and 9/29-B
Read section 2-1 on forces and comnplete the R&R for that section. It is the
first pg in the new HW pkg.
GT- procedures and blank data tables with stats columns are due

9/24-A and 9/25-B MOTION QUEST REVIEW
SORRY--these answers are late due to internet trouble, but here they are---
1. Know the vocabulary terms for 1-1 and 1-3. They are listed as key terms on
pg 39
       Do problems pg 40 and 41 # 1-7,9,10,13,17

Answers ******* 1-d,2-b,3-b,4-d,5-a,6-T,7-straight line, 9-true,10-speed,
13-insect IS accelerating because acceleration includes changing
direction, 17a- reference pt b-speed, c-velocity

2. Memorize formula for calculating Speed S=D/T
Use the formula for acceleration Acceleration= V/T (Vf-Vi/T)
       Do Checking concepts #12,18-20,22,23
Answers ******** 12-Warbler is faster at 12m/s than the hawk at 10m/s
     18-  A-->B =2cm,  B-->C= 5 cm   19. 2cm/s    20.  1.0 cm/s/s
22-first driver has greater avg spped since he drove the same distance
in less time 100km/2h vs 100km/3h
     23- 80km/h x1h + 40 km/h x2h = 160 km
        160km/3h= 53.3km/h

3. Read graphs of D/T and V/T
Review pg 24 and fig 13 on pg 38
                        Warm up graphs
                         Henry and Juanita’s graphs
Know- forward and backward motion from a reference pt, stopped,
constant speed, speeding up, and slowing down

GT- Also- complete practice stats for chem X on tomato plant.

9/22-A and 9/23-B
Changing velocity hand out
Begin to study sections for Quest on sections 1-1 and 1-3 (motion, speed and
acceleration) Review all set-A warm ups,all handouts, and the last quiz.
Quest will be on 9/29 for A day, and 9/30 for B day

GT-cont. procedure and lit review corrections and additions

9/18-A and 9/21-B

GT- get parent signature on due dates for project
ONGOING- work on project procedure/data tables and lit review

9/16-A and 9/17-B
Determining Speed and velocity- evens(we did odds in class). Show formula,
substitution, answer and units.

Study section 1-1 for a quiz next class. You will be given a graph and asked to:
identify speeding up, slowing down, stopped, forward, and backward
calculate average speed at any point using the memorized formula S(V)=D/T

9/14-A and 9/15-B
Complete the page in your pkg titled "Calculating avg speed" it is on the back
of another paper.
GT- complete "enrich " for section 1-1 ( on the back of the R&R)
Read comments on Lit reviews and procedures. Time line will be discussed on
Thurs. :)
