TAG met on November 20. PROGRESS REPORTS HAVE NOT BEEN SIGNED AND RETURNED BY FIVE (5) CHILDREN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "First in Math" points earned were discussed and treats were given to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place highest points for each grade level. Five people have still earned 0 points and the TAG office may remove their chance to use this program and give the subscription to another student in another school. Junior Great Books -- Today we did not do JUNIOR GREAT BOOKS. Next week for Session 5, we will be doing the writing element of the story. "Structures" -- Today we went over our progress in TAG with an individual conference for every child. Late work was collected, graded, and returned. The Homework Choices for Lesson 2 were shared. Next time we meet, we will begin Lesson 3 where we will be assigned to a construction crew and challenged to make a structure out of various materials. Independent Study Booklet -- Continue p 3 for homework by choosing one thing from p. 2 and then fill out what you already know, what you want to find out, and how you will find out about it. Be prepared to share your topic choice. Also, look at product possibilities on page 4. On April 23, the Independent Study Project is due. On May 7 the completed Independent Study Booklets are due with ALL signatures HOMEWORK: Independent Study Booklet - Page 3 in the yellow "Guided Independent Study Booklet." Look at p. 4 and think about how you will share what you learn while doing your research.
