advanced-level learners.
Interested parents and community members are invited to attend!

Dr. Patricia Schuler is an internationally recognized speaker on the topic of the social and emotional needs of highly able students. While Dr. Schuler will be sharing examples that include students across a wide age spectrum, parents of students in grades three through high school may find this G/T Parent Academy to be especially beneficial.

As the Gifted and Talented Resource teacher at Marriotts Ridge High School and the person in
charge of our Intern-Mentor and Independent Research classes, I would like to invite you to
attend a couple of the upcoming meetings of the HCPSS G/T Parent Academy. This is not a long
term commitment, nor a private club, but simply a series of one night programs each month that
you can attend for the benefit of you and your highly able student.
Please consider attending these sessions for your benefit and to benefit your children. If you
need more information on the G/T program in general, please contact me, Paul
Eckert at pfeckert@yahoo.com. If you need more information on the Parent Academy, please
contact Ellen Warsaw, a MRHS parent who is the academy's co-chair. Her email is: ellen@warsaw.us
