Greetings and Welcome!

This is my second year at McLean.  I am delighted to be here and to start helping each of my students embark on a lifelong experience of the wonders of art.

Since we are saying “hello,” let me introduce myself.  I come from a village in the Black Forrest in Germany.  I went to university in Germany and specialized in teaching fine arts, mathematics, and physical education.  I taught these subjects for many years to students of all ages through high school.  Art has always been a passion of mine, and in my “spare time” I am busy turning out projects in various media, such as painting, photography, and sculpting.  I am currently pursuing a Masters degree in art education at the Maryland Institute College of Art.

Learning art should be fun, dynamic, and exciting.  I encourage all parents to take as much time as possible to be involved in their children’s art education.
