On-line Research

BIGCHALK INTEGRATED LIBRARY offers access to elibrary (compilation of +1,000 
magazines and newspapers, references books, video clips interview 
transcripts, pictures and maps); New York Times (actual New York Times 
newspaper from 1851-2000); and Literature Online for Students (includes: 
author biographies, critical reviews, and genre studies). 

Britannica Online offers the encyclopedia, the Britannica's comprehensive 
guide to 130,000 web sites, and the Merriam-Webster dictionary.   

Groliers Online features The New Book of Knowledge Encyclopedia, The New 
Book of Popular Science, and American the Beautiful.     

World Book Online features the content of The World Book Encyclopedia, plus 
16 additional databases that allow students, educators, and others to 
conduct in-depth research on thousands of topics. World Book Online 
Reference Center contains every article from the 22-volume print set plus 
thousands more as well as state-of-the art multimedia, editor-reviewed Web 
sites, and more! World Book Research Libraries contains primary and core 
source collections--books, documents, selections--in major subject areas. 
Enciclopedia Estudiantil Hallazgos is a basic Spanish-language encyclopedia 
for elementary and middle grades.

Congressional Quarterly Researcher offers access to current event topics. 
Each topic under discussion is divided into: abstract, full report, 
overview, background, current situations, outlook, special focus, 
chronology, pro/con, bibliography and footnotes. The archive directs 
researchers back to all past entries.
