Mr. Schneider's Homework

The Week of October 13th through October 17th:

In class we are reading Things Not Seen, Andrew Clements, Chapters 24 through the end of the book. Every Friday, we will continue to work on the following reading skills/strategies: Main Ideas, Summarizing; Context Clues, and Figurative Language. This Friday we will add Inferences and Drawing Conclusions.

Nightly Homework:

Students will complete a Pages Read Reading Log every night Monday through Thursday. Reading Logs are due in class the next day Tuesday through Friday. Students must complete with their name, date, title, author, pages read, and a brief (2 or 3 sentences) description of what they read. Students are encouraged to select their own books, but all books must be approved by me. Completed Reading Logs are worth 10 points. The Pages Read Reading Log template is online under BR Templates if students have forgotten to pick up one in class that day.
