December Newsletter
2008
Dear Parents,
We hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving break! It’s hard to believe
that in three weeks our winter break will begin. The students have been
doing a wonderful job with their class work, and have come a long way since
September. We are pleased with their progress.
For the next few weeks, we will be continuing to work with our novel
studies, grammar lessons and subtraction skills.
The students continue to write compositions in their journals and are
becoming proficient with summary writing using Somebody, wanted, however so
then format. Our creative writing focus this month will be on a different
animal. Our frogs will take a back seat to the penguin. The students are
writing a cinquain and composition about this endearing, as well as, amazing
animal from Antarctica.
Please continue to review math facts daily for proficiency.
