Formal assessment takes place for students in Anne Arundel 
County from grades 2-5.  Our second graders participated in Stanford 
testing and Naglieri testing during the month of October.  The 
assessments cover Language, Reading Comprehension, Math, and Problem 
Solving Skills.  Students in third, fourth, and fifth grade 
participate in MSA (Maryland School Assessment) testing with their 
peers statewide.  MSA testing takes place April 2nd and 3rd, 8th and 
9th.  The test covers Language, Reading Comprehension, and Math 
skills.  Science MSA will once again be given to 5th graders in the 
Spring.
