| We have had a wonderful start in the media center this year! So far the
students have been instructed on how to take care of books in and out of the
library. We have also made a concerted effort to familiarize all students
with the location of books in the Library Media Center and why they are
organized the way they are. Soon, 1st through 5th grades will be learning
how to use the online card catalog. This will enable students to become
independent when visiting the Library Media Center.
Coming up in October the Library Media Center looks forward to extending the
curriculum themes of Open Court with all grade levels and assisting in
research related activities.
November 2-9 is the Book Fair!! Students will have an opportunity to visit
and purchase books during this week.
Reminders:
· The Library Media Center is in need of volunteers! Please come and
help the Media Center be all it should be in order to meet the needs of all
our students at Millersville!
· Sign children up for their own library card at the local public
library.
