It seems that "round one" of the "influenza-like-illness" is behind
us. I thank the entire staff for their diligence in cleaning the classrooms,
common items and reminding the students to wash their hands often. We do
need to continue what we are doing to assure we keep our illness count
low.
Please, remember to wash your hands often. It is a good prevention
of illness. Remember if you are home sick, please stay home an additional 24-
48 hours after symptoms resolve. This will give you some time to work on
your missed school work, so keep checking the website.
Anatomy class (12th grade) is learning all about the skeletal
system. Before Thanksgiving they will be able to identify over 40 bones.
The Health class (10-12th grades) is enjoying a chapter on Mental and
Emotional Health. Most importantly, they are learning study skills and the
importance of learning.
1st grade is learning all about their teeth. We are learning the
parts of teeth, how to brush properly and even singing a song about brushing
our teeth.
2nd and 3rd grades have been learning alot about nutrition. Next in
preparation of the holidays we will be learning about table manners and
setting the table. Both classes will practice their good manners with a tea
party at the end of the lesson.
