Hopefully, what you have learned has made you more aware of the epidemic of
obesity, the health risks involved, and how to help prevent it. The
projects you created should help inform others of this dangerous trend and
get them involved to do something about it, too.
Continue to research what's happening in America and around the world as a
result of the alarming studies on obesity. Are schools accepting
responsibility? Are they changing their cafeteria menus? Their P.E. or
recess times? Are schools finding alternatives to current snack and beverage
items for fundraising? Ask other students if this information has changed
their eating and/or exercise habits. Has it changed yours? Is there anyone
else you can share this information with?
