Step 1

Step 1

To begin your quest, you will pair up with another student to conduct a
pre-WebQuest survey of students in your class on the following
question?
Should wild animals be taken in as pets?

After counting the results, complete a graph using Microsoft Excel OR click here to go to the NCES "Create A Graph" Website for a follow along graph making tool. Your graph may be a simple pie chart. Be sure to give it a title, data labels, values and/or percentages, a key/legend, and a footer with both of your names and your class name. This will be the first of two surveys. After completing the WebQuest, you will conduct this same survey question for a second count. Will student responses remain the same?

To view a sample pre-WebQuest, first survey pie chart, click here.

Use the link below for a copy of the rubric that will be used to score your pie chart or other graph. This rubric may be used as a checklist and a guide as you complete your chart or graph.
