General Music Homework
Important Reminder!!
You will need a pencil and paper Monday or Tuesday of every week. Reserve a
section in your notebook for music information and notes. All study guides
will be given the first day of the week.
The next exam wil be the week of November 2-6, 2009. The below information
will be reviewed for the next three weeks in music class. If you attend band
during music, you are still responsible for getting the work you may have
missed.
4th & 5th Graders
NEW VOCABULARY
Measure- the distance between two barlines.
Bar line- the lines that divide the measures.
Double bar line- the lines that appear at the end of the song.
Notes- the symbols on the lines and spaces that indicate pitch.
Bass Clef- the symbol that indicates low pitches.
Chord- three or more notes heard at the same time.
Repeat sign- the symbol indicating to perform the section of music again.
Interval- The distance between two pitches.
Students write the note names of your music sheets in order to perform the
music on the instruments.
2nd and 3rd Graders
