For Parents

Books may be checked out for one or two weeks. Students in pre-school through
grade one may check out one book at a time. Students in grades two and three
may check out two books. Grades 4 and 5 may check out three books. Additional
books may be checked out if needed for assignments. Students may renew books
as needed unless the book has been placed on reserve. Reference books may be
checked out overnight with the permission of the library media specialist or
teacher. Students with overdue books will not be allowed further check out
until overdue material is returned. Parents may also check out materials.

We attempt to instill a sense of responsibility while a book is in the
possession of our students. They are responsible for caring for it and
returning it on time, so others may borrow it.

Students with overdue books will not be allowed to check out until overdue
books are returned. Overdue notices are sent out on a routine basis. If you
notice your child is not bringing home new books, please ask if a book is
considered lost or overdue. Accidents happen, please return books that have
minimal damage with a note and we will repair it.

There is no fine for overdue books. There is a replacement charge for books
that are lost or damaged beyond use.
