About The Teacher
I first became interested in science from my experiences as a student at Oakland Mills Middle and High Schools. After high school graduation, I majored in General Biology at the University of Maryland, College Park where I recieved my Bachelors of Science in Life Sciences. After I graduated from the University of Maryland, I took my first job as an Instructor teaching weekend classes and summer camps at the Baltimore Zoo (now the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore.) It was a great experience and I fell in love with teaching science. After a little over a year at the zoo, I knew I had to go back to school and get my degree and certification to become a classroom science teacher. So I entered Goucher College's Master of Arts in Teaching Program. After the two year program, I graduated with my masters and my secondary science certification. I am so pleased to be teaching at Reservoir High School. Reservoir is truly a great school and community. It is wonderful to be teaching in Howard county where I started as a student so many years ago.
