Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. If you begin holliday shopping remeber these few "Green" tidbits.
1. If you use lights as decorations, please purchase LED lights. They use 80% less energy!
2. Wrapping paper: Best: Re-use or decorate bags. OK: Recycle gift wrap. NOTE: Foil wrapping paper can not be recycled.
3. Presents: Most adults don't need very much so offer to give them your time: Gormet Meal, babysitting, etc. Visit your favorite charity website and donate in their name. Ex. WWF has great ways to adopt wildlife.
4. TREES: Best: Use a re-usable tree. Better. If you purchase a live tree, buy one with a root ball so that you can replant it later. OK: If you use a live tree with a root ball please stay away from the tinsel etc. that makes it more difficult to recycle at curbside.
Have a happy holliday and remember to thank our planet for providing free services like pollinating, cleaning air and water, waste disposal and recycling of materials.
