NHS Members are required to earn 8 merits each semester. Merits can be earned in many ways. Outside Activities (Scouts, Job, Sports, School Clubs & Activities can all be counted as an Outside Activity) An Outside Activity (OA) Form may be downloaded from this site on the "Documents" Page. 2 merits for the first OA and 1 merit for the 2nd OA.
Seniors who have submitted the form documenting their Jumpstart classes, Internship or Job will be given the 2 merits for the 1st OA.
Starting this year, you will only be able to get a maximum of two merits from donating money. We encourage you to donate to the good cause but we also want you to physically contribute and volunteer to get the majority of your merits.
All members should be receiving updates on merits through email. Members are responsible for checking these updates for accuracy.

If there are errors on your merit report, please do the following:
- Print out the email. Write your full name and advisory teacher on the email.
- Circle what you believe to be in error.
- Speak to the event chair and be sure they have your name, it is spelled correctly, etc.
- Turn the email with your notes on it to Mrs. Hannahs.
