NHS Tutoring

If you are interested in private tutoring of younger students, please email or see Mrs. Hannahs (shannahs@aacps.org). We get calls from families in the community looking for high school aged tutors to work with their children. Sometimes this is homework help, sometimes it is more substantial, and there are also special needs students. The NHS Member will have to work out arrangements and payment.

ALSO:

NHS members are needed to tutor on Wednesdays in the cafeteria at 2:10 pm. Members earn half of a merit for half an hour of tutoring and an entire merit for a full hour of tutoring. Mrs. Stauffer needs tutors in all subjects but especially for Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Chemistry and Spanish.

To stay after school you no longer need the training, however you must be willing to do anything you can to help or you will not get the merit.

Tutoring sessions start promptly at 2:10 pm. Check in with Mrs. Stauffer and be prepared to work until 3 pm with students she assigns you to.
