This is my sixth year at St. Bernadette. Previously, I taught third grade.
I am so excited for the fifth grade challenges and learning opportunities!
Before I came to St. B's, I taught third grade at St. Bernard's in
Riverdale. Experience previous to that was teaching freshman composition at
Catholic University. I can't say enough about my love for this community and
the happiness I have found here.
I have two sons, Sam (6) and Noah (2). I love to share stories about
them and hear stories from my students. This year, we will create a climate
of warmth and safety, and we will LET OUR LIGHTS SHINE!!!!
No two children are alike, and they all have different paths to learning. My
goal is to provide students with equally appropriate ways to absorb, use,
develop, and present skills and knowledge as part of the daily learning
process. Ours is a Christ-centered classroom, where students feel cared
about, and are encouraged to care about others. A climate of warmth and
safety is essential for community-building. Hard work and community are the
keys to our success!
