Keep drilling the facts: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division even though we aren't currently working on these. PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT CHAPTER ONE TEST ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 1 A study guide will be sent home with your child on Tuesday with a Practice test attached. Thursday test will not be in the same multiple choice format of the Practice Test but these are the concepts that will be tested. There is an excellent Chapter Test within your child's text on pp. 64. The Check Your Progress Activities on p. 62 are also an excellent resource. In the back of the text is a section entitled "Still More Practice; Reinforcement". You will find on p. 461 extra practice for the skills taught in Chapter One. Reviewing the Quiz; worksheets; and graded homework in the workbook are all good things to do. The test will be given first thing on Thursday morning from 8:20 to 9:00. Please be on time and ready with sharpened pencils.
