What should I do if my child is losing interest in reading?

Please feel free to give me a call. I will work with their homeroom teacher
and you to establish your child interests so I can direct them to books that
will appeal to them.

How can I best instill an interest in reading?

Research has shown that if a family reads together the childrens interest
in reading is greater and will last longer. Take a night each week to sit
down and read together.

Is it okay that my child is only interested in non-fiction books?

There is a natural tendency for many children, especially boys, to become a
more interested in reading non-fiction. Don't be alarmed, just try to
encourage your child to read books on a variety of subjects.
