There are a number of ways for children to make an appointment with me.
Most frequently, they stop by and ask to talk to me or to have lunch with me.
Do not be alarmed if your children mention that they have had lunch with me.
Often times, the students like to come and eat in my office (I have great
stuff to play with) and it offers a quieter environment where they can come
and chat with a few of their friends. The younger kids are the most frequent
visitors so it might take a while for your child to get a turn.
Sometimes a teacher will ask me to check in with a child or a parent
will ask for the same. If you have any concerns about your child's
development or adjustment to St. Jude, or if their are family issues that
might be affecting your child, please call me. If I see your child for
something more than the lunch time chats, more than twice, I will need your
permission. Then I will either call you or send a permission slip home with
your child.
