About The Counselor

   

     My name is Pamela Adams.  I am beginning my twelfth year as the 
Counselor at St. Jude and must say I enjoy my work more every year!
I am married with two children.  My husband is an attorney and my children 
are both in college.  We have lived in Bethesda for about twenty-four years.
     I am trained as a social worker.  I got my B.A. at Susquehanna 
University and received my Masters in Social Work from Catholic University in 
1980. I have been employed in a number of different capacities over the 
years.  I have worked in child welfare, mental health, St. Ann's Infant and 
Maternity Home as well as in private practice.  I really love working in the 
school environment and trying to do as much preventive work as possible with 
the children.
     I have lots of hobbies! I love to read and have been in several book 
clubs over the years.  Daily crosswords and sudokus are a compulsion for me. 
My newest hobbies are knitting and crocheting.  I have graduated from making 
tons of scarves and shawls to baby blankets and hats.
     I love to learn new things and learn so much just by listening to your 
children.
