About The Teacher

I am one of three math teachers for the sixth, seventh, and eighth grades.
This is my seventh year at St. Jude School but I have been associated with 
St. Jude School for sixteen years as all of my children have attended this 
wonderful school. I have a 21 year old son who is a senior chemical 
engineering major at The University of Notre Dame. My 18 year old son is a 
sophmore business major who also attends The Universtity of Notre Dame.  My 
youngest son, Jack, is a fifth-grader.  He and I enjoy our commute 
together to St. Jude School each day.

Teaching for me is a second career.  I have a Bachelor in Business 
Administration from the University of Notre Dame and worked for Bell Labs 
and IBM as a financial analyst for many years.  I earned my MBA from Seton 
Hall University. After taking time off while my boys were young, I decided 
that teaching was for me and so I attended Loyola College's graduate 
education program.  I started out at St. Jude School part time for my first 
year teaching and have gradually taken on more responsibilities.  This is my 
fourth year as a homeroom teacher for 7B in addition to teaching six math 
classes.  I am also one of the Student Council moderators and I run the 
Power Math Program in the middle school.
