I am one of three math teachers for the sixth, seventh, and eighth grades.
This is my sixth year at St. Jude School but I have been associated with St.
Jude School for sixteen years as all of my children have attended this
wonderful school. I have a 20 year old son who attends the University of
Notre Dame and who currently is spending his fall semester in Perth
Australia, an 18 year old son who is entering Notre Dame as a freshman, and
my youngest son, Jack, is a fourth-grader. He and I enjoy our commute
together to St. Jude School each day.
Teaching for me is a second career. I have a Bachelor in Business
Administration from the University of Notre Dame and worked for Bell Labs
and IBM as a financial analyst for many years. I earned my MBA from Seton
Hall University. After taking time off while my boys were young, I decided
that teaching was for me and so I attended Loyola College's graduate
education program. I started out at St. Jude School part time for my first
year teaching and have gradually taken on more responsibilities. This is my
third year as a homeroom teacher for 7B in addition to teaching six math
classes. I am also one of the Student Council moderators and I run the
Power Math Program in the middle school.
