We Believe in Our Students

Principal Photo

Our mission is to educate the whole child delivering academic excellence within a Catholic community of faith. We believe that all children can excel at academics, and that activities and citizenship are just as important. Our students know that we have high expectations for them, and they strive to meet them. We foster and nurture a sense of compassion and justice toward others. Realizing that parents are the primary educators, we encourage an active involvement in the children's education.

SJCS students challenged to emulate George Washington
Click here to read the Gazette article
St. Jude Catholic School recently received an American flag that had flown over the Virginia home of the nation's first president and a full-sized framed replica of the painting "Porthole Portrait of George Washington" by Rembrandt Peale.

Third-grade teacher Deborah Hannan won the items in a drawing during a December leadership assembly and candlelight tour of Mount Vernon Estate and Gardens.
Mrs. Hannan hopes students will feel compelled to become more active leaders at school and in their communities. "We're all very excited about having these symbols of one of our great leaders."
