Hello! Obviously, the "storm of the century" hit us on the 19th and we never
got to school for the last few days before Christmas. Thanks to all the party
moms and helpers who worked hard to try to have a great party and put
together awesome treat bags!
Our theme this week is Winter and our letter is Kk. We will read about
seasonal changes(temperature,clothing,activities),hibernation,migration and
how snow "happens". On Friday, we will have show and tell as usual. The theme
is a "favorite toy from Santa". Please choose a toy that is able to be
touched by the other classmates.
Mid-term notes will go home on the 6th. These are very brief notes about
second trimester progress. Please practice the skill we call, "dressing self".
This includes putting on hats, mittens, and doing zippers and buttons, as
well as turning sleeves inside out( a hard one!).
The first week back to school after a long break is tough. We get some tears
and some tired little people. They bounce back quickly to the routine and are
good to go by Wednesday at the latest. Expect the unexpected and be glad when
it all goes smoothly on Monday morning!
