Homework

The blue sound book will go home Monday with the letter Cc checked in red.
On Thursday a math sheet will be sent home to practice numbers to 20 as tens
and ones. On my webpage is a list of letters/sounds that we have learned so
far as well as the sight words we have learned.
I will assess up the letter Ii(this is a change) and the sight
word "like" as well as numbers to ten (counting, matching groups, recognizing
and writing the numbers from recall).
As we add new letters and sight words, it is very important to review
previously learned letters. In order for us to spell simple CVC words, we
need to remember the sound a letter makes and how to make that letter. For
exampe, to write "sit", we have to break it apart into the 3 sounds /s/-/i/-
/t/. Then we have to remember what letter makes the sound of /s/ and how to
make that letter. Please practice, practice ,practice at home!!!! We do this
EVERYDAY in school so your child knows this routine if you do practice at
home. It is a great way for you to see how your child is progressing and what
areas may need reinforcement from you.
Have a great week!
