Wow! We've been having a WHALE OF A TIME in math class!!!


"BEAT THE CLOCK" is done weekly to strengthen addition and subtraction
skills. I want children to develop speed and accuracy! Look for updates in
your child's homework folder each week. Please begin adding facts to 8! You
can do it!!!!  A slip will be sent home to inform you about your child's
weekly score and progress.  ** Students will see how many facts they can answer with flash cards in 1 minute!!!!   

** Each day we work on "calendar math" using graphing, money, days in school by reinforcing the place value concept (ones and
tens), tally marks, patterning, days of the week, months of the year This will be strenghthened throughout the year.
