Make flash cards for the "key concept" questions and answers. Question on one side and the answer on the other. One question per card. (worth 3 extra points on your test) Make flash cards for all of the key terms and their definitions and earn 2 more points.

Copy "key concepts" and write "key concept" words and their definitions for Chapter 1 section 2. These are in the textbook on p14. Do this in your notebooks and use the textbook glossary for definitions. Do not answer the "key concept" questions.


9/25/09 - Thursday

Rough draft of "Journey to the Center of the Earth" must be completed. We will have the computers in class Monday to type final copy. Rough draft and graphic organizer must be handed in with the final draft by the end of class on Tuesday.

Week of 9/8 - 9/11
Friday
Complete page 3 of the lab. Final typed copy of lab due Tuesday. The typed portion of the lab can be downloaded from the Science Lab 6D section of my website. This way you only have to add your partners, type the conclusion, and answer the questions. Your final report must include your completed data chart and graph.
Quiz next Thursday - includes the notes on the purple and blue papers
Wednesday
Complete the 5th column on the chart for our "Ball Drop" lab. This column is the average height of the bounce of the ball. Remember to find the average, you add together the heights of the three bounces and divide that number by three. It is that answer the is to be written in the fifth column.

Tuesday
Begin to study the purple sheet - quiz Monday or Tuesday of next week.


Week of 8/31 - 9/3
Thursday
Complete definitions of vocabulary words on the back of purple "notes" paper. Definitions can be found in the textbook on p 182-183

Complete the "communicating" activity on p179 in the textbook. Assignment is to be done on loose leaf and is due Wednesday, 9/2.
