Welcome back SMS!!! I would like to take this opportunity to explain some of
my roles at the middle school campus:
*Teach a study skills class to in-coming 6th graders the first trimester
*Coordinate a Homework Improvement Program (HIP) during lunch periods on
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
*Meet with individual or groups of students to assist with homework by
request on Tuesdays and Thursdays during lunch period
*Attend selected 6th and 7th grade LA classes to assist with students
needing reinforcement with reading or grammar
*Attend selected 6-8th grade science classes to assist students with
comprehension and test-taking skills
*Manage and advocate for students who will need or who have had testing
and require individual educational plans
*Provide assistance and emotional support to 6th graders as they tran-
sition into the middle school
*Assist math teachers with computations classes
*Test in-coming students
