Welcome 2010 ! Welcome back ! It has been such a long time since we
have all been together. I hope everyone enjoyed the snow before Christmas !
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a nice beginning to the New Year
! I am excited to see everyone again and to hear about the holidays. It will
take us some time to get back to the routine of school. So this week we will
review some things we did before the holiday break. (We will do the book
exchange on Tuesday. We will finish exchanging cards on Monday and Tuesday.
So if you still want to bring cards and a book to school you still have time.)
This Wednesday is "an out of uniform day" to make up for the one we missed in
December. We will have an assembly to learn more about Haiti and our "sister
school" St.Rose of Lima. Our school will focus on "global outreach" to our
sister school St. Rose of Lima in January.
We will practice the "k" sound. Our sight words this week are "where" and
"do". We will learn more about the season of "Winter" and calendars. The
weather sure feels like Winter. Now is a great time to practice zipping,
buttoning, snapping, "self dressing" etc. Please make sure all sweatshirts,
coats, hats, mittens etc. are labeled with your child's name. (Also, a pair
of ladies sunglasses was left in our room before the break. Let me know if
you are missing your sunglasses.)
