Homework will have a red check in the corner. It will usually come home on
Tuesday and Wednesday.
Please return it the following day. Please make sure your student writes
his/her name on all homework. Unless noted, please complete homework with
pencil.
We will start using the "blue book" to practice our letters and sounds.
The page that needs to be completed will have a red check in the corner. The
directions are glued in the cover of the blue book. We will usually do a
worksheet for the vowel sounds instead of the blue book since the vowels are
"tricky". Please make a "flash card" for each letter we do and
practice the name and sound at home regularly.
We will also start learning our sight words. We will be practicing one
to two sight words a week. Please make a "flash card" for each sight word and
practice it at home as part of homework. Just a few minutes of daily practice
really helps. Make sure to keep reading everyday too !!!!
