Welcome to third grade! My name is Kim Bogdan, and I will be your
child's teacher this year. I am anxious to become a partner with you in
your child's education. It will be an exciting fun-filled year! I wanted
to take this opportunity to let you know a little about myself.
This is my 17th year teaching. I graduated from Towson State
University with my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and Masters
Degree in Education. I am a certified Reading Specialist. I have taught
children in kindergarten through fifth grade. Third grade has always been
my favorite grade to teach! I am catechist certified and hold an Advanced
Professional Catechist Certification.
I have three wonderful sons who enjoy coming to school each day with
me. Andrew is in sixth grade, Joshua is in third grade (Yes, I will be his
English teacher!), and Jacob is in first grade. All three love St. Margaret
as much as me! My husband is an attorney and works right down the road on
Main Street.
I know my teaching must begin with making your child feel at home in my
classroom. It is my hope to help all the children come together into a
learning community made of unique individuals, each with his or her own
learning style, interests, history, and hopes. Prayer will play an important
