2. The Census is a count of the people taken every ten years (next time will 
be 2010).  This count helps establish the number of Representatives a state 
may send to the House of Representatives (it is based on population).  The 
information collected in the census can have many other useful purposes.  
You will take the "quiz" part of this website to see if you can interpret 
graphs and charts of information collected through the United States Census.
