This year marks my 31st year as a teacher. I began my career teaching 4th
grade for three years. I was then given the opportunity to switch to 1st
grade and I have enjoyed teaching that grade level ever since! This begins
my 18th year as part of the wonderful faculty at St. Margaret's.
I received both my BA and Masters of Education degrees from Loyola College.
I have three children, two of whom have graduated from SMS. My daughter,
Paige, is a graduate student at Rollins School of Public Health in Atlanta,
my son, Reece, is a sophomore at Wake Forest, and my youngest son, Rory, is a
sixth grader here at St. Margaret's.
I look forward to another exciting year at St. Margaret's working with
another special class of first graders.
I hope my students will see each of their classmates as very special and
grow to accept each one for whom they are. Of course, I expect my students
to learn to read well and develop their math skills, but most of all I hope
my students will feel comfortable to ask questions and develop a lifelong
love for learning.
