Students may wear purple and black to school on Friday, January 8 to support
the Ravens. Jeans are acceptable. Remember to wear sneakers since third
grade has PE class on this day.
Please return white magazine slips by Tuesday, January 12.
On Tuesday, January 12, most students will be ready to take the final
cumulative multiplication test to possibly become a Mighty Multiplier.
Students will complete 50 problems in 5 minutes, with 3 tries given, just as
with all the other multiplication quizzes. We will move immediately on to
division, starting with the 2's on Tuesday, January 19 for most students.
Remember every child moves at his or her own pace, and not everyone is on the
same number on the same day!
There will be a Haiti bake sale put on by Kindergarten and 1st grade on
Wednesday, January 13. Please bring quarters to school on this day if you
wish to buy any treats.
School will be closed Friday, January 15 for Professional Development.
Please note this is a change from the original calendar. EDC is open on this
day.
Students are to read a book by Beverly Cleary for their January book report.
Please note that the best part of the story should be written in at least 3
complete sentences. Students do not have to draw a picture about their
book. This project should be turned in by Friday, January 29.
We are collecting Box Tops all year.

each evening for English, Science, and Spanish homework.
