Homework again?

Yes! Practice for perfection! The average written assignment is
not lengthly. Reinforcement of the language is essential, so
studying, using the language outside of class and doing the
written assignments are expected on a nightly basis. Say outloud
what you are writing. This will help prepare you for the
listening comprehension sections on quests and tests.

Does Mme grade me down when I make mistakes speaking French?

The effort shown using French is what counts. We can
learn a lot from our mistakes. Pronunciation does count, but
great effort to use French throughout the period is rewarded
highly. So, don't be afraid to make mistakes!

Can we chew gum in class?

No! Chewing gum impedes your French pronunciation. You'll be
putting your mouth into new positions to produce new sounds and
the gum will make it harder for you to reproduce the sounds
correctly.

Oui! This is a listening, speaking, reading and WRITING course in
French. You must practice writing the vocabulary out until you
have mastered the spelling. Always quiz yourselves at home
before taking the quiz in class.
